Building LargoWeather.com – My Personal Weather Station Project

I recently launched LargoWeather.com, a personal weather station website providing hyperlocal weather data for West Largo, Florida. Powered by a Davis Vantage Pro 2 weather station and the open-source WeeWX software, the site offers real-time observations, historical records, and NOAA-style reports.

🌀️ Why I Built LargoWeather.com

Living in Largo, I noticed that mainstream weather apps often lacked precision for our specific area. The closest official weather stations were miles away β€” their data didn’t always reflect the real conditions in my own backyard.

To address this, I set up a Davis Vantage Pro 2 station in my backyard, aiming to deliver accurate, localized weather data for the Largo community.
